February 2018 ENewsletter – Extraordinary Entertainers
Only twelve artists have achieved the entertainer’s equivalent of ‘horsedom’s’ Triple Crown – EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards) and four of them are women. Sports Women Making History – Kalon Women Column January 2018
In October 2017, the University of Virginia announced the hiring of the first African-American woman every brought in as an Athletic Director at one of the 64 power five conference schools. As the hiring of Carla Williams indicates, women are involved in sports as athletes as well as in other positions.
